Aisling is a popular Irish comedian, who's been performing for a long time. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. The comedian has appeared seen on QI, as well as Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known by her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comic. Following appearances in bits on a number of Irish and British television series from 2009 Bea began her stand-up comedian in 2011. In 2012, she was frequently performing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. In 2012, she began appearing on panel shows after winning an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She was captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016-2017 and is regularly a contestant on the spinoff, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan, and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her younger sister. She was in 2012 the second female to receive the So You think That You're Funny award. Bea's surname is in honour of her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh is an Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Her birth date was in March 16, 1984. Bea's father Brian is an equine veterinarian who killed himself when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how her father died until after she was thirteen. Bea adopted the stage name Bea as a tribute to her father. She she wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were raised in a home by Helen Moloney who was a teacher and jockey trainer who was also a professional jockey. The family was obsessed with racing and horses. Bea was a trainer for her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her young days. However, she knew it wasn't something she wanted to pursue in a career and she preferred to perform.
